Ashraf H Sedra

Dr. Ashraf H Sedra is a Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology (Clinician Educator) at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. He serves as the Keck Site Director of the LAG Anesthesia Residency, Division Chief for Transplant Anesthesia, and Anesthesia Transplant Fellowship Director. His clinical and research focus centers on complex transplant anesthesia, with particular expertise in hemodynamic management during liver transplantation and extracorporeal support techniques.

His research examines critical aspects of transplant medicine including hemodynamic monitoring protocols, ECMO applications in transplantation, and management of patients with hematological disorders undergoing liver transplantation. Dr. Sedra has developed specialized techniques for intraoperative hemodialysis during transplant procedures and has contributed significantly to improving perioperative outcomes for high-risk transplant patients.
