Ashna Prasad is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Accounting, Monash Business School, Monash University. She holds a PhD and Master of Philosophy in Accounting, specializing in auditing research, and is a Chartered Accountant (CA ANZ). Her work addresses critical areas in auditing and contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of economic growth through financial accountability.

- Economics of audit markets
- Innovative pedagogical approaches in audit education
Recent publications analyze climate change disclosures, cybersecurity audit challenges, cooling-off period regulations, and PCAOB disciplinary frameworks, reflecting her focus on audit quality, ethical standards, and global regulatory compliance.
