Ashlynn Wittchow is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Louisiana State University ( Baton Rouge ), affiliated with the College of Humanities & Social Sciences. Her work bridges English education, environmental humanities, and posthumanist theory. Previously, she taught secondary English and creative writing in South Carolina before completing her PhD at Teachers College, Columbia University. She chairs the ELATE Commission on the History of English Education and is an alumna of the Bread Loaf Teacher Network.
