Ashli Anda serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at California Lutheran University, where she teaches courses in political and legal philosophy, applied ethics, Kant, and Latin American Philosophy.
Her research critically examines intersections of philosophy and social justice, including:
- Decarceration movements and epistemological barriers faced by disabled incarcerated populations
- Transformative models of solidarity beyond identity-based politics
- Hegelian ethical frameworks for understanding love, procreation, and family structures
- Academic labor organizing and graduate student worker rights
Analysis of her publications reveals consistent engagement with marginalized epistemologies and institutional critique, particularly through decolonial and disability justice lenses applied to carceral systems, academic labor, and ethical theory. Her work bridges continental philosophy with contemporary activism.
