Ashley Twyman

Ashley Twyman, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hospital Medicine. Her clinical activities are based at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, Zale-Lipshy Pavilion, and Texas Health Frisco. She focuses on general internal medicine and sports medicine, motivated by her desire to address a broad range of patient conditions.

Dr. Twyman earned a B.S. in Biology (magna cum laude) from Centenary College of Louisiana, followed by her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Louisville. Board-certified in Internal Medicine (2021), she joined UT Southwestern's faculty in 2024.

Her research interests center on pulmonary diseases and musculoskeletal injuries. Beyond medicine, she engages in ultimate frisbee, flag football, pickleball, and family-focused travel.
