Ashley Orehek Rossi is a STEM Librarian and Assistant Professor of Library Public Services at Western Kentucky University (WKU). A meteorologist-turned-librarian, she specializes in supporting science disciplines through research guides, information management, and educational outreach. Her work spans agriculture, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, and meteorology, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration.
She holds a BS in Meteorology with a minor in Emergency Management from Millersville University and an MS in Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her career path includes AmeriCorps-FEMA Corps service, graduate research on science liaison librarians, and roles at Lindsey Wilson College before joining WKU.
Key achievements include publication in the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society (BAMS) and active involvement in Atmospheric Science Librarians International. She emphasizes soft skills like communication and adaptability in her profession.
