Ashley Oldham is the Chair and Associate Professor of Education at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), leading the Department of Education's undergraduate and graduate programs. She joined USJ in 2015 and holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. from the University of Connecticut. Her academic focus is on supporting students with learning disabilities, particularly those with reading disabilities, with research published in journals like Exceptional Children and Learning Disabilities Research & Practice.
Her research emphasizes evidence-based interventions within multitiered systems of support (MTSS), including kindergarten vocabulary development, early reading interventions, and school reform initiatives. She teaches courses such as Curriculum and Instruction in Special Education and Intensive Interventions in Writing.
Oldham’s work bridges policy and practice, addressing equity in education through tools like regression discontinuity design and data-driven instructional strategies. Her publications span topics from MTSS implementation challenges to predictive models for intervention efficacy, reflecting a commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
