Ashley Mullen, PhD, MSAT, CPO is an Associate Professor and Program Director in the Orthotics and Prosthetics Program within Baylor College of Medicine's School of Health Professions. Her academic roles include teaching, research, and administrative leadership in prosthetics and orthotics education.

Research Interests: Focuses on advancing clinical education and training in orthotics/prosthetics, biomechanical analysis of prosthetic interventions, and addressing healthcare disparities in prosthetic access. Her work emphasizes evidence-based practices in residency training, competency assessment, and ethical considerations in prosthetic technology development.
Grants & Awards: Recipient of the Norton Rose Fulbright Award (2021, 2022), J David Holcomb Achievement Award (2023), and multiple Excellence in Teaching Awards (2015-2017). Active grants include studies on FO/UCBL footwear biomechanics and prosthetic technology ethics funded by Pedorthic Foundation, BCM Center for Professionalism, and Genentech Foundation.
Grants & Collaborations: Leads projects such as Project REACH (Genentech Foundation, 2022-2025) and collaborates on studies evaluating stance-control KAFOs and prosthetic access disparities in Ecuador.
