Ashley Brown

Ashley Brown is an Associate Professor and University Faculty Scholar in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at North Carolina State University (NCSU) and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). She leads the Brown Advanced Wound Healing Lab, focusing on developing microgel-based materials for hemostasis, wound healing, and regenerative medicine. Her research addresses translational challenges in trauma care, fibrosis, and infection control, with a particular emphasis on biomaterials engineering and cellular mechanotransduction.
