Ashley Adams

Ashley Adams is an Instructor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Attending Psychiatrist in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Adams holds an MD from Duke University School of Medicine (2019) and completed residency training in Pediatrics and Psychiatry at Alpert Medicine School of Brown University (2024). The department provides comprehensive care for child mental health disorders while advancing research in developmental neuroscience and community psychology.

Dr. Adams' research focuses on neurodevelopmental consequences of environmental exposures, immune-mediated psychiatric conditions, and innovative medical education strategies. Key publications examine lead toxicity in preterm infants, autoimmune encephalitis phenotypes, Hashimoto encephalopathy diagnostics, and shame resilience training for medical students. Her clinical work aligns with Boston Children’s Hospital’s mission to deliver family-centered care through inpatient, outpatient, and community-based programs.
