Ashlee Wasmund is an Associate Professor and Program Director of Musical Theatre & Dance at Western Carolina University’s School of Stage & Screen, part of the David Orr Belcher College of Fine and Performing Arts. She is the Founding Producing Artistic Lead of Calliope Stage Company, a nonprofit professional theatre in Sylva, NC. Her work spans freelance directing, choreographing, and acting across theaters in NYC, Chicago, Milwaukee, Boston, Los Angeles, and internationally. She prioritizes new works, emerging artists, and creating authentic artistic spaces.
