Ashish Ashish is a doctoral student at Lund University's Department of Biology, affiliated with the BECC (Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services in a Changing Climate) and Functional Ecology programs. Their research focuses on saprotrophic fungi, particularly wood-degrading mushrooms, using spectroscopy and transcriptomics to study cellulose structural changes during decomposition. They hold an ORCID ID (0000-0003-1671-9864) and have been active in academic events since 2021.
- Projects:
- Use of spectroscopic techniques to study fungal wood degradation (2021/09/06 → active)
- Transcriptomic profile of wood-decaying fungi on crystalline cellulose (2022/10/15 → 2025/11/15)
- Key Research Areas:
- Mechanisms of fungal wood decomposition
- Cellulose crystallinity analysis via Raman spectroscopy
- Climate change impacts on fungal biodiversity
- Activities:
- Participant in ClimBEco graduate research school autumn meeting (2024)
- Presenter at BLAM 2022 and 2023 workshops
- Organizer of BECC-related academic events
