Ashiq Ali is the Charles and Nancy Davidson Chair in Accounting at the Naveen Jindal School of Management, University of Texas at Dallas. He holds a Ph.D. in Graduate Business from Columbia University (1987), an MBA in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management (1981), and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (1979). His academic career spans institutions including the University of Arizona (2003–2004), Columbia University (1991–1992), and New York University (1987–1995).
