Asher Flynn is a Professor of Criminology at Monash University's School of Social Sciences and a Chief Investigator at the Australian Research Council's Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW). Her research focuses on technology-facilitated violence, image-based abuse, and gendered violence, with a strong emphasis on policy reform and prevention. She has secured over $45 million in research funding and published extensively, including eight books and over 120 articles. Her work has influenced laws on image-based sexual abuse in Australia, the UK, and the US. Awards include the Monash University Vice-Chancellor’s Research Impact Award and multiple ANZSOC accolades. Dr. Flynn advises global organizations like the UN and Meta on gender-based violence prevention.
