Dr. Asghar Sabbaghi is a Professor of Finance and Information Systems at the Heller College of Business, Roosevelt University, where he served as Dean from 2017 to 2019. Previously, he held academic and administrative roles at Saint Xavier University and Indiana University South Bend over a career spanning more than four decades.

His research focuses on scarce resource planning, green supply chain management, business analytics, economics of water and information technology, and decision support systems. His work has been published in national and international journals and research books, including the co-authored book Economics of Water Resources Management: From Regulation to Privatization (second edition, 1998, translated into Chinese in 2010).
Dr. Sabbaghi has held editorial roles for journals like the Journal of Information Education and Journal of Economics and Finance, and has reviewed textbooks and articles for organizations in Decision Sciences and MIS. He is a member of honor societies Omicron Delta Epsilon (economics) and Beta Gamma Sigma (business), as well as other professional associations.
