Asal Rahimi

Asal Rahimi, M.D., M.S., is a Professor and Chief of Breast Radiation Oncology Service at UT Southwestern Medical Center's School of Medicine Department of Radiation Oncology. She joined the department in 2011 after completing her radiation oncology residency at the University of Virginia and specialized training with the American Brachytherapy Society. Her clinical and research focus centers on breast cancer radiation therapy, particularly advancing partial breast irradiation techniques like stereotactic partial breast irradiation (S-PBI) using the GammaPod system. Dr. Rahimi also serves as Medical Director of the SCCC Clinical Research Office and Associate Vice Chair for Program Development, driving clinical trial innovation and operational efficiency.
