He leads the KLIGEN research cluster and has authored over 160 publications, emphasizing leaf-mining insects and cryptic species discovery. His work frequently involves molecular phylogenetics and morphological analysis of genitalia structures to classify new species.
Research Interests: Invertebrate Zoology, Biodiversity Inventory, Insect Taxonomy, Entomology, Phylogenetic Relationships, Trophic Ecology. His publications analyze Neotropical pygmy moths, Andean Patagonian plant-moth interactions, and cryptic species in Armenia. Recent work highlights high-altitude Tischeriidae species and dry-forest moth phenomena in Honduras.
