Arusyak Zakaryan is an Assistant Professor of Strategy in the Department of Management and Technology at Grenoble Ecole de Management in France. She holds a PhD in Management from SKEMA Business School and Université Côte d'Azur, and a Master of Science in Management from SKEMA Business School. During her doctoral studies, she was a Visiting Scholar at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business.
Her research spans strategy, innovation, and organizational studies with two primary strands: (1) Organizational learning from failures, successes, and near misses; and (2) Innovation management focusing on knowledge networks, exploration/exploitation dynamics, invention termination, and gender perspectives in innovation. She specializes in quantitative analysis of the biopharmaceutical industry and knowledge-intensive sectors.
Publications demonstrate strong thematic coherence, with 75% focusing on organizational learning mechanisms (failures, near-misses, experience) and 25% on innovation management (invention termination, knowledge networks). Recent work shows increased emphasis on gender dynamics in innovation decisions.
