Arturo Zychlinsky

Arturo Zychlinsky is a Professor and Director of the Department of Cellular Microbiology at the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology in Berlin, Germany. He holds a PhD in Immunology from the Rockefeller University (USA) and completed postdoctoral training at the Institut Pasteur (France). Before joining the Max Planck Institute in 2001, he was a Professor at the New York University School of Medicine (USA). His research focuses on cellular microbiology, particularly host-pathogen interactions and microbial pathogenesis. His work bridges immunology and infection biology to understand bacterial virulence mechanisms and host defense pathways.
