Artur Fedorowski is Professor at Karolinska Institutet's Department of Medicine, Solna, and Senior Consultant/Head of the Syncope and Dysautonomia Unit at Karolinska University Hospital. His research focuses on cardiovascular autonomic disorders including syncope, orthostatic hypotension, and post-COVID cardiovascular complications.
Research interests span:
- Cardiovascular autonomic dysfunction mechanisms
- Biomarker development for syncope and orthostatic intolerance
- Genetic factors in cardiovascular disease
- Post-COVID autonomic sequelae
- Cardioneuroablation therapies
Publication analysis reveals concentrated work in autonomic dysfunction characterization, particularly post-COVID POTS, with innovations in diagnostic monitoring and AI-assisted ECG analysis.
Major grants include:
- Swedish Research Council: Cardiovascular phenotypes of post-COVID (2021-2025)
- Swedish Heart-Lung Foundation: Long-Haul Post-COVID-19 Symptoms (2021)
- Cardiovascular autonomic dysfunction risk factors (2020-2022)
