Arthur Juet

Arthur Juet is a Research Fellow in Health Economics within the Academic Unit of Health Economics at the University of Leeds, Faculty of Medicine and Health. His work bridges econometric analysis with health policy evaluation, focusing on how economic factors influence health outcomes and healthcare decision-making.

Dr. Juet completed his PhD in Health Economics at Paris Dauphine University in 2023, specializing in econometrics and causal inference analysis applied to health economics. He also holds an MSc in Health Economics from the same institution.

His research focuses on the economic impacts of medical conditions, particularly examining financial strain from illness and caregiving. Current projects include evaluating vaccination policies, analyzing arthritis impacts on quality of life, and studying the economic burdens of end-of-life family caregiving. His methodological approach emphasizes advanced econometric techniques to understand individual behavior in response to public policies.

His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on policy-relevant health economics research, particularly in vaccination behavior and chronic disease impacts. The work shows increasing sophistication in causal inference methods applied to real-world health policy questions.

As an educator, Dr. Juet teaches undergraduate health economics modules at Leeds University Business School and serves as an MSc supervisor. He regularly presents his research at major health economics conferences including HESG (Health Economists' Study Group).
