Arthur Campbell is a Professor of Economics at Monash University, where he has held this position since joining in January 2017. Prior to Monash, he served as an Associate Professor of Economics at Yale University’s School of Management (2013–2016), Senior Data Scientist at Uber Technologies, and Consultant at Frontier Economics. He earned his PhD in Economics from MIT in 2009.
His research focuses on Industrial Organization, Strategy, Organizational Economics, Market Design, and Energy Economics, with notable contributions to journals such as the American Economic Review, American Economic Journal: Microeconomics, and RAND Journal of Economics. Key research themes include social networks’ impact on market entry dynamics, political capital utilization, and word-of-mouth communication effects.
