Arnold Bartetzky serves as Honorary Professor of Art History at the University of Leipzig and Department Head of "Culture and Imagination" at the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) since 2017. His institutional affiliations include:

- Subject coordinator for art history at GWZO since 2011
