Dr. Arnesh Das is a Research Fellow at ETH Zurich's Institute of Construction Materials (IfB), part of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (D-BAUG). His work focuses on advanced construction materials, particularly 3D-printed concrete and ultra-low-carbon solutions. He joined the Physical Chemistry of Building Materials group in 2018 as a PhD researcher and became a post-doctoral researcher in 2022.
Education:
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Delhi Technological University, India (2016)
- Master's in Civil Engineering (Focus: Construction Materials), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA (2018)
Research Interests: Arnesh explores early-age hydration mechanisms of aluminate-based accelerators, freeze-thaw resistance of 3D-printed concrete, and microstructural stability under processing conditions. His current projects emphasize sustainable, fast-setting concrete technologies.
Grants & Awards: No awards explicitly listed in the text.
Labs/Teams: Active in the Physical Chemistry of Building Materials group, collaborating on 3D printing and low-carbon material innovations.
