Arne Anderson Stamnes

Arne Anderson Stamnes is a Researcher in archaeological geophysics at the Department of Archaeology and Cultural History, NTNU Science Museum. He holds an MA in predictive modeling for agricultural settlements in the Early Iron Age, an MSc in Archaeological Prospection from the University of Bradford, and a PhD from NTNU on applying geophysics to Norwegian archaeology.

His current research includes the PastCoast project (2021–2024), a collaboration with the National Museum in Copenhagen and Aarhus University to study resilience in prehistoric coastal environments using geophysical surveys, GIS modeling, and paleolandscape analysis. This project is funded by the Research Council of Norway's International Mobility Grant.
