Arne Anderson Stamnes

Arne Anderson Stamnes is a Researcher in archaeological prospection at the Department of Archaeology and Cultural History, NTNU University Museum. His work focuses on geophysical methods, GIS modeling, and Iron Age agrarian landscapes. He leads the PastCoast project (2021–2024), funded by the Norwegian Research Council, investigating coastal resilience through interdisciplinary methods including geophysics, metal detecting, and paleoenvironmental studies. Collaborations include Aarhus University, Moesgaard Museum, and Nationalmuseet in Denmark.
