Professor Dr. Arnd Reitemeier holds the Chair of Lower Saxon Regional History at the University of Göttingen and serves as Director of the Institute for Historical Regional Research. His academic career spans positions at Kiel University and research fellowships in Germany and England.
- 1986-1992: Studied History and English, Political Science, and Pedagogy at Göttingen and St. Andrews
- 1996: Doctorate at Göttingen on late medieval diplomacy between the Holy Roman Empire and England
- 2002: Habilitation at Kiel University on late medieval urban parish churches
