معرفی
Prof. Arnd Kieser is an adjunct professor at the TUM School of Life Sciences, Technische Universität München. His research focuses on molecular mechanisms of lymphoma development caused by the Epstein-Barr virus, particularly its oncogene LMP1. He develops translational drugs targeting viral interactions with cellular signaling networks, funded by the German Center for Infection Research (DZIF).
Education:
- Bachelor's in Biology, Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg
- Doctorate in Biology, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich
- Habilitation in Molecular Biology, TUM
Research Interests: Experimental oncology, tumor virology, and signal transduction pathways. Prof. Kieser investigates how EBV’s LMP1 oncogene hijacks cellular signaling to drive lymphoma, with a focus on therapeutic interventions.
Awards:
- Helmholtz Association Research Highlight (2007)
- Research Festival Grosshadern Prize (1998)
- HMGU Doctoral Award (1996)
Grants & Leadership: Leads a research group at the Helmholtz Zentrum München since 2001. His work is supported by the DZIF. No formal advisees are listed, but his lab collaborates widely on drug development.
Labs/Teams: Directs a team at HMGU specializing in viral oncology and signaling pathways.
