Arnd Jurgensen is a Lecturer at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM), part of the University of Toronto. He holds a BA from New York University, and both an M.A. and Ph.D. in Comparative Politics of Developing Countries from the University of Toronto. His research focuses on regime change, democratization in Latin America, sustainable development, and U.S. foreign policy, with fieldwork experience in Venezuela and extensive travel across Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
Before joining UTM, he taught at the University of British Columbia, Wilfred Laurier University, McMaster University, and the Faculty of Applied Sciences and Engineering at the University of Toronto. Currently, he teaches POL114S and POL327Y.
