معرفی
Arnaud Echard is a Professor at École Polytechnique – Paris Saclay University and leads the "Membrane Traffic and Cell Division" laboratory at the Pasteur Institute in Paris. His research focuses on fundamental mechanisms of cytokinesis, particularly cytoskeletal remodeling, ESCRT-III dynamics, and parallels between cell division and viral budding.
- Key affiliations: Pasteur Institute (2007–present), CNRS Director of Research (DR1), and Professor at École Polytechnique
- Research areas: Cell division mechanics, actin and microtubule dynamics, ESCRT-III regulation, and viral budding
His recent publications reveal novel regulatory mechanisms in cytokinetic abscission, including MICAL1-mediated actin oxidation and CARM1/SMYD2 methylation of ESCRT-III components. Collaborative projects span intercellular communication via tunneling nanotubes and pathogen-host interactions with Shigella and HIV-1.
Students and postdocs under his mentorship include Thomas Serrano, Julie Thomsen, and Giulia Russo. Current projects at Pasteur Institute explore cytoskeleton remodeling, viral parallels, and artificial intelligence applications in cell biology.
