معرفی
Arnald Grabulosa is a Professor at the University of Barcelona's Faculty of Chemistry, currently serving as Head of Studies for the Chemistry degree since 2021. He holds a PhD in Chemistry (2005) and a Bachelor's degree (2000) from the same institution. His research focuses on organometallic chemistry, coordination chemistry, and catalysis, particularly in asymmetric catalysis and biological applications of organometallic compounds. He leads the FUNCO2 research group (Functional Coordination Compounds: Design and Applications) and has been principal investigator on multiple projects funded by national and international agencies.
Education:
- Doctorate in Chemistry, University of Barcelona (2005)
- Licentiate in Chemistry, University of Barcelona (2000)
Research Interests:
His work emphasizes phosphorus-based ligands, transition metal catalysis, and the design of metal-based drugs. He combines synthetic organometallic chemistry with applications in asymmetric catalysis and biomedical fields. Recent projects include developing ruthenium complexes for anticancer therapies and gold-catalyzed reactions with supramolecular regulation.
Leadership:
As Head of Studies, Grabulosa prioritizes student engagement and curriculum efficiency. He collaborates closely with academic staff, administration, and students to streamline academic processes while maintaining research commitments. His leadership style emphasizes transparency and fairness in academic governance.
Lab and Teams:
He collaborates with senior researchers like Daniel Sainz and Anton Vidal-Ferran, focusing on catalytic applications and organometallic synthesis. His group's work spans from fundamental ligand design to applied drug development and industrial catalytic processes.
