Armin von Schiller is a Visiting Lecturer at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy at the University of Erfurt. He is also a Research Fellow at the German Development Institute (DIE), where he co-leads the 'Social cohesion in Africa' project. His expertise spans social cohesion, fiscal governance, tax morale, and public policy evaluation in developing countries. He has extensive field experience in Latin America and Africa and has taught at institutions like the London School of Economics (LSE), Heidelberg University, and University Clermont Auvergne.

Research Interests: Von Schiller focuses on tax performance, revenue administration, and fiscal governance in developing economies. His work bridges theoretical and applied aspects, including evaluating governance interventions such as the GIZ-DIE 'Impact Initiative Africa' project. He emphasizes empirical approaches to understanding how taxation and public finance dynamics impact social cohesion and development outcomes.
Consultancy and Engagement: He has collaborated with organizations like GIZ, the European Commission, and UNU-WIDER, contributing policy-oriented research to global development challenges. His publications appear in journals like the Journal of Development Studies and Political Behavior.
