Armin Zenker

Armin Zenker is Lecturer in Microbiology and Ecotoxicology at FHNW University's School of Life Sciences, Institute for Ecopreneurship. His research develops environmental technologies and processes for sustainable resource management. Research groups include Environmental and Water Technologies, Ecotoxicology, and Applied Circular Economy.

Research focuses on:

• Advanced water treatment and micropollutant removal
• Ecotoxicological risk assessment of pollutants
• Biohydrometallurgical processes for resource recovery
• Environmental fate of industrial chemicals

Publications demonstrate expertise in wastewater treatment innovation, toxicological modeling, and contaminant biodegradation. Recent work develops compact filtration systems for micropollutant removal and investigates microbial degradation pathways for persistent organic pollutants.
