Arjen Siegmann is a Full Professor of Valuable Work and Christian-Social Thinking at the Department of Finance at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He also serves as a research associate at the CDA Research Institute. His ancillary roles include being a member of the municipal council of Amstelveen (since 2022), a commissioner at the Wilfried Martens Centre for Economic Studies in Brussels (since 2020), and a staff member at the CDA Research Institute in The Hague (since 2016).
His research focuses on risk management, pension systems, behavioral economics, and political economy. Key areas include hedge fund analysis, market liquidity, and the intersection of ethics with financial systems.
