Ariel Williams, MD, is an Assistant Professor at Yale School of Medicine's Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation and Associate Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs for Bridgeport Hospital. She specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery, sports medicine, and orthopaedic surgery. Her clinical interests include fractures, sports injuries, nerve problems, arthritis, and advanced reconstruction techniques. Dr. Williams completed her MD at Stanford University, orthopaedic residency at Johns Hopkins University, and fellowships in hand surgery (Johns Hopkins) and sports medicine (University of Connecticut).
Her research focuses on clinical outcomes of rotator cuff repairs, shoulder instability, and disparities in musculoskeletal care. Notable publications include studies on latissimus dorsi transfer failure rates and outcomes of biologically enhanced rotator cuff repairs.
