Ariane Maggio

Dr. Ariane Maggio is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Centre for Forensic Anthropology, University of Western Australia. Her research develops quantitative histological methods for forensic identification using cortical bone analysis in Australian populations.

Current projects focus on improving species differentiation techniques and establishing population-specific standards for age-at-death estimation through histomorphometric analysis. Methodological innovations include simplified protocols for bone sample preparation.

Fieldwork includes archaeological excavations in Greece, Poland, and Venice, contributing to comparative analyses of skeletal remains across historical periods and geographic regions.
