Are Strandlie

Are Strandlie is a Professor at the Department of Manufacturing and Civil Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research focuses on Atomic-scale modelling, Material appearance, and Material science, with a particular emphasis on composite materials and 3D printing technologies. He is affiliated with the ApPEARS (Appearance Printing - European Advanced Research School), a European network driving innovative training programs in printing technologies. His work also includes the AQMA project (2021–2024) on air quality monitoring and SFI Manufacturing, a cross-disciplinary center for competitive high-value manufacturing in Norway.
