Dr. Araz Nasirian is a Lecturer at RMIT University's School of AISSC, Department of Accounting, Info Sys & Supply Chain. His research focuses on business analytics, machine learning, and optimization applied to construction, transportation, education, and human resources. He has received the 2022 RMIT VC Teaching Citation Award and School of AISSC Teaching Technology Award for educational innovation. His work emphasizes translating research into practical solutions, such as developing decision support systems and user-friendly interfaces for complex data analysis.
Research interests include mathematical modeling for corporate data analysis, optimization algorithms for professional development strategies, scheduling of flexible resources, and technology adoption in business. He is open to supervising Masters and PhD students on topics like sustainable project management and adversarial deep learning for network anomaly detection.
Notable contributions include BIM implementation studies using neural networks, anomaly detection in space networks, and multiskilled workforce optimization in construction. His educational work integrates BIM-VR into curricula and designs interactive educational tools.
