Dr. Aravind Ganesh is an Assistant Professor in Law at the School of Law, Politics and Sociology, University of Sussex. Previously, he held positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Maastricht University, Vice-Chancellor's Research Fellow at Oxford Brookes University, and a Re:constitution fellow. His academic career spans multiple prestigious institutions across Europe, reflecting his expertise in legal philosophy and international law.
Dr. Ganesh holds a PhD (cum laude) from VU Amsterdam, a BCL from the University of Oxford, a JD from Columbia University, and an LLB from King's College London. He is also a certified Attorney in New York.
His research primarily explores the implications of Kant's philosophy of right for contemporary issues in public law, with current interests focusing on environmental law, regulation of 'public goods', and reimagining the law of the sea on Kantian foundations. His work bridges legal philosophy with practical applications in EU law, human rights, and international relations.
