Dr. Arash Bahramian is a Senior Lecturer at Curtin University’s Curtin Institute of Radio Astronomy (CIRA), affiliated with the School of Electrical Engineering, Computing, and Mathematical Sciences (EECMS) within the Faculty of Science and Engineering. His research focuses on astronomy, statistics, and data science, with expertise in studying stellar-mass black holes, neutron stars, and heterogeneous time-series analysis. He teaches astro-statistics, data science, and visualization courses.
His research interests include understanding black hole and neutron star populations through multi-wavelength observations, Bayesian mechanistic modeling for heteroskedastic data, and developing relational models for large datasets. Recent work explores jet dynamics in X-ray binaries, globular cluster astrophysics, and ultra-luminous X-ray sources.
Publications (2025–2024) highlight studies on black hole transients, white dwarfs in globular clusters, radio galaxy structures, and gamma-ray emission probes. No scientific awards are explicitly mentioned, but his work is widely recognized in astrophysical journals. He collaborates extensively with international teams, contributing to facilities like the Australia Telescope Compact Array (ATCA) and Chandra X-ray Observatory.
