Aqueasha Martin-Hammond is Associate Professor of Human-Computer Interaction at Indiana University's Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering. She directs research on accessible technologies for aging populations and holds a PhD in Computer Science from Clemson University.
Research focuses on intelligent interfaces for health, including:
- Voice assistant usability for older adults
- AI tools for medical instruction access
- Persuasive health interventions
- Social support technologies
Recent publications (2020-2021) demonstrate consistent investigation of aging-technology interactions, with innovations in health communication tools, voice interface studies, and community-based interventions. Research consistently employs co-design methods with older adults.
Awards include NSF CAREER Award (2022) and Google Inclusion Research Award (2020). Student projects received recognition including GROUP 2020 Best Poster Award.
