Dr. Apurva Narayan is an Affiliate Professor in Computer Science and Data Science, and an Associate Member in Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia's Irving K. Barber Faculty of Science. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning (particularly explainable AI and quantum ML), data mining, cybersecurity of cyber-physical systems, and decision-making under uncertainty. He holds a PhD from the University of Waterloo (Systems Design Engineering) and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Dayalbagh Educational Institute.

Labs/Teams: Engaged in collaborations within the UBC Department of Computer Science and cross-disciplinary projects with Mechanical Engineering on system reliability and quantum computing applications.
