April Beiswenger serves as Associate Professor of Theatre Studies and director of theatre studies and interdisciplinary arts at St. Norbert College, while also holding the position of associate artistic director for Theatre Z, a local theatre company. Her professional background spans prominent institutions including Contemporary American Theatre Festival, Mountain Playhouse, and Peninsula Players, integrating practical industry experience with academic leadership.
Her educational foundation comprises an M.A. in Theater Arts from Villanova University and an M.F.A. in Technical Theatre and Design with Scenic Design concentration from West Virginia University. These qualifications underpin her multifaceted academic approach.
Beiswenger's research traverses theatrical design innovation, environmental and experimental performance spaces, and the intersection of fashion history with ethical sustainability practices.
