Apparao M. Rao is the Robert A. Bowen Endowed Professor of Physics, specializing in advanced energy storage systems and materials science. His research focuses on battery technologies, particularly potassium-ion and lithium-sulfur batteries, solid electrolytes, and thermoelectrochemical systems. He leads projects on high-capacity anodes/cathodes, electrolyte design, and waste heat harvesting.
