معرفی
Dr. Ao Li is a Research Fellow at the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney. His research bridges advanced computational modeling with practical engineering applications to drive innovations in energy safety and sustainability.
Dr. Li's educational background includes:
- PhD (2023) from UNSW Sydney, specializing in numerical modelling and computational heat transfer
- Master's degree (2017) from UNSW Sydney
His research focuses on enhancing lithium-ion battery safety and efficiency through computational techniques. During his doctoral studies, he pioneered a framework synergizing CFD simulations with machine learning to optimize cooling performance and mitigate thermal risks. Recently, he led a project at UNSW Canberra integrating deep learning for early detection of battery thermal runaway. Currently, he explores sustainable battery recycling initiatives. His work spans numerical modeling, computational heat transfer, flame retardants, and energy systems safety.
Dr. Li has received significant recognition through competitive scholarships:
- RTP Stipend Scholarship (2019-2023)
- Engineering Top ups - Faculty funded (2019-2023)
He demonstrates strong academic leadership as Lead Guest Editor for Polymers' special issue on 'Recent Advances in Flame-Retardant Polymeric Materials' (IF 4.7) and Guest Editor for Fire's special issue on 'Advances in New Energy Materials and Fire Safety' (IF 3.2). He also served on the organizing committee for the 5th Asia-Oceania Symposium on Fire Safety Materials Science and Engineering (AOFSM'5) in 2023.
