Anymir Orellana

Anymir Orellana, Ed.D., is a Professor at the Abraham S. Fischler College of Education and School of Criminal Justice, Nova Southeastern University (NSU). She specializes in teaching online graduate courses in instructional technology, distance education, instructional media, and instructional design.

Her research focuses on quality online education, universal design for learning, and the integration of media and technology for learning. She has contributed to the field through collaborative publications, presentations at national and international conferences, and a co-authored book, The Perfect Online Course: Best Practices for Designing and Teaching.

Dr. Orellana's teaching and scholarship have been recognized with awards including the 2020-2021 Professor of the Year (NSU), the 2011 IAP Distance Education Book Award, and the 2022 Visionary Award (Florida Distance Learning Association). She also received the Dr. Charles L. Faires Dissertation of Distinction Award for her mentorship of doctoral students.
