Anwar Ahmed

Dr. Anwar Ahmed is an Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Biostatistics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, MD. He holds a PhD in Biostatistics from Virginia Commonwealth University (2010), an MSc in Statistics (2004), and a BSc in Applied Statistics and Demography from the University of Gezira (2001). His research focuses on statistical methodologies for clinical risk assessment, diagnostic accuracy analysis, and longitudinal data modeling. Key areas include infectious disease epidemiology, military health surveillance, and cancer risk prediction.

Dr. Ahmed has received prestigious awards such as the 2023 School of Medicine Dean’s Impact Award and the David F. Cruess Outstanding Educator Award.
