Anut Itthagarun

Professor Anut Itthagarun is a faculty member at Griffith University's School of Medicine, Dentistry and Oral Health. His research focuses on dental biomaterials, enamel remineralization, and preventive dentistry. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Hong Kong and a Post Graduate Diploma in Dental Surgery and Paediatric Dentistry.

His research explores novel approaches to caries prevention including laser applications, fluoride delivery systems, and biomaterial efficacy. Recent work analyzes femtosecond laser effects on dental tissues and comparative studies of remineralizing agents.

As Program Director for both the Bachelor of Dental Health Science and Master of Dentistry programs, he oversees curriculum development and student advising. His funded research includes grants from Griffith University and The Borrow Foundation supporting investigations into enamel remineralization mechanisms.
