Anupam Sengupta is an FNR ATTRACT Fellow and Associate Professor leading the Physics of Living Matter group at the University of Luxembourg. His laboratory investigates how microorganisms interact with fluid environments across scales.
Research Focus: Combines microfluidics, quantitative imaging, and theoretical modeling to study microbial behavior in complex environments, including oceanic and freshwater ecosystems.

- Mechanisms of bioconvection in natural aquatic systems
- Environmental regulation of phytoplankton migrations
- Microbe-fluid interactions in porous media
