Anuja Madan is an Associate Professor and Graduate Faculty member in the Department of English at Kansas State University. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Florida and an M.Phil. from the University of Delhi. Her research focuses on contemporary Indian comics, children’s literature, media, and childhood studies, with a particular emphasis on Hindu mythology’s role in post-millennial graphic narratives and animations. She teaches courses in postcolonial literature, children’s literature, and adolescent literature.
Madan is part of the Children's Literature track and has received the Davids-Dunham Award for her contributions to diversity through teaching and scholarship. Her work explores cross-cultural influences, nation-building narratives, and the intersection of mythology with modern identity. Recent research includes analyses of animated films, graphic novels, and ethical frameworks in Indian epics adapted for children.
